UGCS is the Ministry Department of UACCCI and offers various ministry programs to equip individuals for various ministries. UGCS is a fast growing department of UACCCI as ministers across the world are seeking practical, quick and affordable ministry training. Our goal is to offer training that will not only equip the student for the ministry of our Lord, but provide sound theological training, challenge student thinking and creativity, and provide insight into, doctrinal, mission focus, as well as societal challenges daily.

United Graduate Institute Programs

UGCSI is the Ministry Department of UACCCI and its affiliates. All UGCS Programs are ministry oriented and provide students excellence in ministry education and practical experience. The focus of UGCS is equipping students for church ministries within the Christ-Centered Evangelical ministry. Lastly, UGCS focuses upon the spiritual, educational and mental development of the student as they are challenged to grow deeper in their understanding of their relationship with Jesus Christ, the Scriptures, the Church, the world around them and themselves.

Learning Outcomes:

All UGCS Programs pursues the following learning outcomes:

 

Knowledge

1. Competency in the knowledge of Scripture and general theological terms and concepts

2. Describe the significant personalities, events, and developments in church history and discuss their significance to the modern church

3. Write a philosophy of ministry in keeping with a biblical view of the Church and its mission

4. Take an exam for ministry credentials in the chosen field of ministry that results in a passing score of no less than 80%

 

Attitudes

1. Subscribe to a high view of the authority and inspiration of the Scriptures

2. Acknowledge the Lordship of Jesus Christ over their personal lives and ministries and the fellowship of the Church

3. Relate a personal commitment to the Church, its varied ministries and its mission within contemporary culture

4. Recognize challenges and opportunities of ministry within their chosen area of study after completing the program

5. Have a refined and depended sense of calling in keeping with defined awareness of giftedness in various ministries

 

Ministry Skills

1. Exegete, interpret and apply selected passages of Scripture from a variety of literature types in keeping with the original, intended meanings

2. Prepare sermons and structure learning experiences, then present both in harmony with the whole counsel of God found throughout both the Old and New Testaments

3. Present the Gospel message effectively in personal and corporate evangelistic settings

4. Structure a comprehensive program for the Church in their area of specialization in keeping with the total needs of the Church and the mission of the Church

5. Function effectively in expected ministry tasks and roles after completing the program

6. Plan and conduct a variety of church services and ceremonies

Biblical Theology

Bachelors of Arts Degree is focusing on Biblical and General Ministry Studies

 

The BA Degree in Biblical and General Ministry Studies is designed to provide students with an understanding of New and Old Testament History, Basic Hermeneutics, Intercultural Studies, the study of Luke’s writings and practical experience. Students will graduate with an ordination in Ministry and earned a total of 56 credits.

Biblical Theology

Focusing on systematic and biblical study methods

This degree will allow the student to dive deep into the area of systematic theology, and learn more of the Biblical principles to work on a specific area of study. Students will study expository methods of teaching, apologetic(s), the research methodology and he tools to apply original language in their ministry studies. This will also be required to write a thesis on a specified area of biblical theology once approved.

Description of Degree program

  1. New Testament 2: Lectures, with homework, diving into the themes, theology, and thoughts of the author of each Book, application for today and the application in ministry. In addition, reflection paper on the theological importance of each part.

  2. Lectures and a chart of the OT an NT and they connect with God’s immutable desire for Grace. Detailed teaching on the OT is the NT concealed, and the NT is the OT revealed. The themes within the Pentateuch and how they bring light to Jesus.

  3. Systematic Theology 1: God proper theology, Lectures on the Order of sound theological processes of doctrine, the nature of humanism and sin in general; applied with modern culture. The mechanisms within determining erroneous theology and the consistent usage of memorization of verses a BCV proof methods.

  4. Christian Ethics Review sexuality, family dynamics, and political philosophy within the ethos of a believer.

  5. Spiritual Traditions and Practices: Traditions that are biblical and practices that are cultural and are they Biblical sound or emotionally and denomination driven. Students will choose a biblical tradition and discuss its application and proper place, and then choose denomination geared traditions and why they are not biblical.

  6. Insights for Cultural Understanding: Lecture with reflection paper on key culture issues and how the Christian faith should protect not adapt to e.

  7. Expository method of Biblical teaching with Methods of study: Lecture with explanations of how teaching should be systematic not emotionally so that the Body of Christ is learning, not simply reacting. The methods used to create sermons or teachings, and “Why original language?”

  8. New Testament Book Study: The student will pick Book to do a survey on, culture, theology, author, date of events, date , and chose a verse to examine in , that being Koine Greek.

  9. Hebrew Prophets or Old Testament Writings: Choose a Prophet or OT text to demonstrate the connection to NT fulfillment through Jesus Christ.

  10. Old Testament Book Study: The student will pick Book to do a survey on, culture, theology, author, date of events, date , and chose a verse to examine in , that being Hebrew.

  11. Church History: Focusing on Apostles 1 Century-4 Century & Reformation studies: The progressive nature and problems with moving away from the Apostles teaching and approach to life. Two lectures on Early Church fathers and the shift leading into humanistic and religious theology. Reviewing Five Solas and a review of Luther, and Calvin’s approach to bring back what was taught in the first through third centuries of the Body of Christ.

  12. Philosophy of Ethics and Evangelism: Lectures on when to engage all types of people from the religious person to the Atheist, the student will be required to demonstrate, once learned the ethical approaches towards evangelism, to write on the method once would use in that specific area.

  13. Communication: Proper interpersonal communications dealing with multiple types of personality factors and learning to adapt to different backgrounds, cultures, and possible difficulties with people we in the ministry deal with daily.

  14. Apologetic studies: The student will learn the data that demonstrates the quantitative proofs within Astronomy, Biology, Archaeology, and to intellectual defend your faith with God’s design we see in our universe and our humanity. Students will be required to pick an area within apologetic(s) to defend and implement biblical and theological connections to demonstrate God’s finger prints in our world. Written thesis required dealing with a specific theological area. Approved topic by Academic Dean Minimum of 30 pages

Doctorate Degree in Biblical and General Ministry Studies

The Biblical and general Ministries Program moves quickly from a BA to MA Degree toward a Doctorate Degree. The Doctorate in Biblical and General Ministries Studies is an advanced degree that covers numerous spectrum's of ministry involvement from administration, Church Planting, Counseling, Preaching and Prayer. The degree advances the student towards a total of 90 credit hours with practical field study research. The degree also requires a comprehensive dissertation expected to meet typical thesis standards as experienced in typical educational studies. 

Dissertation Requirements: For completion of the Doctorate Program, students will be required to write a dissertation that would be worthy of publication. However, you are not required to publish your work. Following are the requirements of the doctorate dissertation:

  1. You will need to contact your on-line professor before you begin your dissertation to present your dissertation topic and statement for approval. Once approved, you may begin.

  2. The dissertation will need to be at least 100 pages.

  3. The paper should be double-spaced, using size 12 font.

  4. Include page numbers.

  5. Cite sources in the body of your paper using the MLA format or another citation method approved by your online professor.

  6. Include a “Works Cited” page.

  7. You must use a minimum of 14 books and other sources that you have read and referred to in the preparation for the dissertation, the Bible your main source.

  8. Include a Title Page with:

  9. dissertation title/topic,

  10. your full legal name,

  11. name of “United Graduate College and Seminary International,”

  12. name of program,

  13. name of the online professor and

  14. date of submission.

  15. Include a Table of Contents.

  16. Your completed dissertation should not be submitted until the other courses are complete.

  17. Doctorate dissertations must be submitted within 12 to 18 months after approval of the topic has been given.
